SIlver Medal for a Bainbridge Islander
Emily Silver who qualified to swim the Women's Medley Relay last night, was one of two swimmers replaced by Dara Torres and Natalie Coughlin. Because she qualified in the preliminaries, she will also receive a silver medal. According to the newspaper article, she has yet to receive her medal, but Dara let her hold hers.

Man, Dara is awesome; did you see the other night when she stalled the race so one of the girls could fix her suit??? She said outside the water these girls are my friends! That's so nice that she let Emily hold the Gold! Is Emily the one from Bainbridge?? Did they say why Emily was replaced?? I didn't see their race
hey, that's super cool. so far i don't know anyone in the olympics who is from slc. .. . which is wierd because it seems like EVERY reality tv show in the past two years has a finalist from the slc area and isn't the olympics like the ULTIMATE in reality tv competitions?!!!! Dara rocks my world. . . she's my HERO. . and i'm going to put posters of her up all over my room :) (cuz i'm 15)
